Private label and custom development

Private label describes a garment sold under your brand; it does not describe one fixed development method. Some projects adapt existing blocks, while custom cut-and-sew projects require a new pattern and specification. Explain whether you want a new silhouette, a modified reference or branding on an agreed existing shape.

Full-package production

A full-package scope can combine fabric sourcing, patterns, sampling, trims, cutting, sewing, decoration, labelling and packing. Each inclusion should be written in the offer. Destination duties, freight and testing depend on the agreed scope and delivery term; they should not be assumed to be included.

CMT and customer-supplied materials

Cut, make and trim describes the garment assembly scope, but the exact meaning of trim varies between suppliers. If you supply materials, confirm quantities, usable width, defects, shrinkage and arrival timing. Agree who is responsible for short deliveries and unusable fabric before production begins.

Branding belongs in the first specification

A neck label, external patch, woven side tab and printed care label each require a location, size and artwork. Send vector artwork where available and state the colour references. Bespoke trims can have higher minimums and longer procurement times than the garment itself.

Private label is more than changing the neck label

A complete private-label brief defines the garment, fit, fabric, stitching, colour, decoration, brand labels, care information and packing. Confirm whether you are adapting a supplier base or developing a new product. Ask which development work is included, who owns the patterns and artwork, and what is needed for a repeat order. A free online tech pack does not mean factory sampling, pattern development or production is free.

Protect original work without blocking technical review

Confidentiality is a legitimate concern. Start with a non-sensitive product outline and agree proportionate confidentiality terms before sharing commercially sensitive files. Specify permitted use, access and subcontractor responsibilities. An NDA does not replace supplier verification or create rights to someone else’s design. Tuğhan Textile does not reuse a customer’s collection for another customer; the enquiry should still identify which materials are confidential.

Questions, answered

Can you produce my own design?

Custom knitted and woven products can be reviewed from a complete technical file. Construction, material availability and quantity determine feasibility.

Are labels and packaging automatically included?

Only the details listed in the written quotation are included. Specify woven labels, care labels, hangtags, bags and carton requirements before pricing.

Is white label the same as custom cut-and-sew?

The terms describe different levels of development. Confirm whether you are relabelling an existing product or developing a new pattern, fabric and construction.

Can I supply my own zippers and labels?

This can be reviewed. Agree specification, quantity, defects, delivery timing and responsibility for shortages before accepting a schedule.

Will Tuğhan Textile use my design for another brand?

Tuğhan Textile does not reuse a customer’s model or collection for another customer. Customer technical files, patterns and production details are treated as confidential. Agree access and handling requirements before sharing sensitive material.

Does a free tech pack include free factory sampling?

No. The browser tool is free. Physical development, materials, patterns, sampling and shipping are separate services governed by the project quotation.
